I stood on line for four hours at Avery Fisher Hall with Lucille to try and secure tickets for THE WRESTLER. I struck out. It was sold out before I got to the windows, even though I at least got Eastwood and the French Palme d'Or winner THE CLASS...........ah well, I see Mr. Aronofsky is winning more plaudits here.

Is it sad that I already forgot what this years Cannes winners were?

I am interested in seeing THE CLASS though.

Got to see The Wrestler at TIFF today - it is indeed quite the flick, and Rourke's performance is the stuff of legend.

Fox Searchlight bought it this morning, so expect to see it in theatres pretty soon!

That's awesome that you got to see it already. From what I hear it will get a limited qualifying run in December and then a wider release in the early part of 2009.

I can't wait to see it.
